Holiday Card Project

What is the Holiday Card Project? The purpose of the Holiday Card Project is to create holiday cards for people who are hospitalized during the holiday. The idea behind this project is to simply try to bring a little cheer to those who are undergoing hospital stay. Exactly who receives the card The cards Will be distributed to both US and international Hospitals. The cards will be delivered in person by a representative. patients who receives the card are in range from child to seniors and have illness and injuries that vary from mild to terminal. What should I write in the card? Be as creative as you'd like. Just remember the degree of illness for patients will vary so it's important to be cheerful? Some suggested greetings include " Hope your feeling better"," Thinking of you" or " Have a nice day". Try to stay away from "get well soon"as it might not be appropriate for all patients. Remember to include a message oh "Happy holidays". Will the patients know who sent the cards?
The only way a patient will know who the card is from is if you sign your name. If you would like to send your card anonomously you may. Can I send moore than one card? Absolutely! However remember that quality is better than quantity. Seanding one quanlity card that you that you put time and efforte into is better than sending two cards that were thrown toghter. Is there a specific size or medium for the card There is no specific size for the cards. Use your best judgement. You can design and decorate cards by drawing, coloring or painting. You can also design your card using photoshop. In photoshop please us 4x6 or 5x7 for dimensions.

African Proverb 7

Knowledge is like a a garden, if it is not cultivated, it can not be harvested. I think that this proverb means if you don't work at using your knowledge on a daily basis you won't Know what you want when your older. For instance if I like basketball and I learn a lot about it but if I don't use it frequently I will forget what I knew later on in life. Also if I like to hunt and I learn all I can I should try to learn more.
A lot of people don't normally do this They just learn and forget what they learned. Whats the purpose of that in the end it was just a waste of time and brain space. I personally like science and so every day I try to learn something new. I also practice by studying everry night. This is what I think this proverb means.

African Proverb 6

A person who Knows proverbs can reconcile diffrences. I think that this proverb means that if you know a proverd to deal with the situation you can solve the problem. Like if you and your friend have a problem with another school you can use your proverbs to deal with it. I think that a person who knows how to use a proverb is very wise.

That means that you understood the proverb. To me that is way better than a person who just says anything to here their voice. I think that it iswise for a person to speak the right proverb at the right time

African Proverb 5

The fool speaks but the wise listens. I think this proverb means that you should talk less but listen more. If you do to much talking you will not get the message. I think that people should listen when you here some one speak and not just talk to your friends. I can portray this in school when the teacher is talking.

I have heard people say listen twice as much as you talk. If you do that you won't have to worry about not hearing because your not talking. If you listen you won't have to just agree with every thing you here because you can decipher what is truth and what isn't.

African Proveb#4

It is better to be loved than feared. I think that this proverb means that this proverb means that you will have more friends if they love you and aren't afraid of you. Many people want to be feared and that's why mostly they don't have friends and if they do their
friends don't like them. When you are feared many of those people don't like to be around you or talk to you.

This can be used in my every day life by when I meet someone don't try to act like a bully or tough guy. I could also talk to people in a low but friendly tone. I learned that you will meet more people and have a lot friends if you smile when you talk. If I meet someone new in my neighborhood instead of just seeing that their shy I could take the liberty of seeing if they want to play.

Extra cash

You have an extra $ 100,000 to give away; You cannot spend it on yourself what would you do with the money

If I had $100,000 I would give it to M. Latoya (sike) I would actually to my mom. I would give to her because she has taken care of me all these years. I would tell her not to spend anything on me from that money if she does I won't accept it. I would tell her to save the money for a trip or something that she might like to do.

The next person I would give it to would be my older sister Tiffani. I would give her $25,000 dollars because that's how much I owe her. I think I would give the last $25,000 to my grandparents. I would give it to them for a early retirement.

African Proverb 2

I believe that the proverb a log can stay in water for ten years means that if you do the same thing over and over again nothing will happen. For example if some one never does their homework or projects they can't expect for themselves to get a A. Also If you don't do any thing with what you have it won't grow or change. Further more you should work to make everything you have grow.

African Proverb1

I believe that the proverb means that intelligence and wisdom is more vaulueable than money and other riches. For example with the intelligence you can bring in more riches easier. Also riches can be taken bu t it is hard to take some one's intelligence. Furthermore I think I'd rather have intelligence than riches

08-09 school year

I think that my goals this year are to get all A's in every subject. For instance I want to do this is because last year I failed to succed that goal. Furthermore I put this on the top of my list of goals. Clearly this year I raised the bar on my standerds.
I feel that New Media's Benefitsare the fact that they have a colorful variety of teachers and students . Maybe their benefits are that they make you like your weakiest subject. in addition to the fact that the teachers are very strick. In fact I think that New Media has many other benefits.
I believ that my weakiest subject is math. For example it takes me longer to get what we were taught that day . Therefore I need to study more. However I have gotten better at understanding it.
