Safety Margins: Text and important images must fall within the red boxes. Extending important elements beyond this line can cause problems during cutting,folding and assembly. Parts of images or text can end up being trimmed off or fall directly on a fold.

Cut lines: This is approximately where your artwork will be trimmed. Keeping all text and important images inside the 1/8 inch safety margin will prevent their unintended less in cutting.

Bleeds: This area is going to be completely trimmed away during the cutting process. Only solid colors, background images or foreground images that intentionally run off the page should extend through this area. Having it bleeds ensures that your artwork will not white border around it.

Folds: Be very careful when running any text o important image over folds. Text ecspecially text under 9 point can be hard if it is falling on a fold.

free Write: What if...

What if I was a assassin. I just wonder what my life would be like. Would I have a lot of friends or not. Would I work for somebody or would I be a free agent. I personally would like to be a free agent because then in a way I 'm a business man. Any who I don't think I would to have friends because what if I have to kill them. I think I would live my life on the edge paying attention to everything and everyone I see. When i first start off in the business I would want to get te proper training.

Free Write: Family

Family, everyone has one, even if you don't know them. Family can be your uncle aunt brother or sister. Family is any one who is related to you well at least biological family. Then you have family that isn't related or biological. Like when your adopted your family can be the people you are staying with. Also like your uncle Hardy who wasn't born or married into the family but who was your fathers best friend and who is closer to him than his own brother. Those are situations where family isn't related. In my immediate family I myself have 1 brother and sister. I am the youngest child and that causes a lot of tension. What I mean is like since I am the youngest I'm on my own level. Sort of like the Ahmad off of soul food. I am at the age where I'm around the adults a lot because I'm basically the youngest and I cant hang out with babies.

So instead I it and am seen not herd. That I stay out of trouble and also don't get kicked out the room. So I just sit around and listen. Once though I almost got kicked out I laughed a little to loud and made a comment. So my dad brought his attention to me and gave me one more attention.

free Write: Friendship

What is friendship? Hmmm a lot of people ask that question they wonder if what they have is actually a friendship. From my paste experiences with friends who lust liked me because I gave them stuff I now Know what a friendship is. What I have with my brother is not just because we are relatedd but because I hang out with him and I'm cool with him. You see with us it's like a I scratch your back You scratch mine.

Free Write: Self Reflect

I did something over the snow day that I am really proud of. Now what I'm about to say some people may not agree on in the beginning but by the end of this free write they will. I myself like to cook, and I am very good at it. Well over the brake I decided to make Split Pea soup. Now my mother told me to it wasn't a conscious choice she felt she didn't want me to be at home all day and do nothing but play games. She figured it would take me all day but she was wrong. She gave me a list of directions. But they just turned into a disaster so I decided to do it my way and every one loved it.

Halftone "pop dots tutorial

Step1: Open your image. Put a selection around the image that you would like to put the pop dots effect behind.(inverse if you need to)

Step2: Press apple + J twice. Put a selection around layer 2.

Step3: Go under the select menu under motify and choose Expand. Enter 10 pixels and click OK.

Step4: Press D to switch your swatches to default colors. Option delete

Step5: Press the letter Q to enter quick mask mode. Go under the fillter menu under pixelate and choose color halftone and click OK.

Step6: Keep runing your fillter until you are satisfie with the results. Tap the letter Q to leave quick mask mode.

Step7: Option delete. deselect you image.
